Kaart Group is a collection of geographic projects mostly focusing on improving Open Source Data. For the past 10 years, we have created some of the world's best geographic data for vehicle navigation. Our map data has powered Garmin GPS, Apple iOS and Google Android devices with robust and accurate offline navigation in more than 50 countries.

With degrees in Geography, Anthropology, Spanish and Environmental Management. Aaron has transformed a small idea incubated in South Africa into a global leader in geographic data and mobile apps. As a teenager, he drove a ’76 Vespa Rally 200 across the United States, and remains an avid traveler.
Colorado native and retired rugby player, Diane grew up enjoying the great outdoors and "tackling" new adventures. She graduated Colorado Mesa University with a degree in Environmental Science & Technology. She spent several years with the Bureau of Land Management where she conducted ecological surveys and mapped many of the beautiful areas surrounding Grand Junction. Diane's favorite activity is trail running with her husky, Drogo (yes, from Game of Thrones).
A Colorado boy, Nolan grew up in the outdoors actively involved in Boy Scouts, backcountry recreation, hunting, and fishing. He has a degree in Geology from Colorado Mesa University. Has learned GIS through the school of hard knocks.
Zoe enjoys backcountry skiing, rock climbing and river rafting all with her boarder collie named Pear. She has a bachelors degree in environmental science from Colorado Mesa University. She is an avid traveler, having been to nearly 25 countries and her attention to detail allows her to create comprehensive and reliable data.
An outdoor aficionado, travel enthusiast, and music lover. Thomas is from Brazil and fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, & English. He attended Colorado Mesa University where he got a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He now creates awesome data so that travelers have confidence in their adventures.
Michelle brings a strong knowledge of databases and geography to Kaart Group. With a focus on ensuring accuracy in POIs (points of interest), Michelle ensures that the information you seek on your travels is accurate and comprehensive.
A proud family man and father of three, Gary Clark was born and raised in Colorado. Gary loves maps and figuring out new and more efficient ways to make the maps of the world better. He graduated from Western Wyoming Community College with a certificate in Web Design and is continuing his educational pursuits in Software Development at Western Governor’s University. From the time he was very young, he has loved studying maps and globes and is right in his element here at Kaart!

A self taught published artist and buff for history, Michael has held an interest for the world and geography since he was a boy. The romanticism of old expeditions keeps his interests keen and always in a state of growth. Being an avid cyclist of many chapters also adds to his repertoire for exploration and curiosity. He is a geographer and cartographer for Kaart and enjoys traveling, learning, and editing in OSM as a method to help others and contribute to the world of mapping.
An avid traveler who loves trying local foods and getting to know the local customs around the world, Jorge found his fascination for maps early in life while playing "treasure hunt", being the one making them! After many years traveling in cars, first as a passenger where he usually was his father's copilot, then later as a driver exploring Central America and the southern United States. While studying at University of Houston, Jorge drove back and forth between Texas and Guatemala over 20 times, usually driving border to border across Mexico non-stop. Jorge currently lives in Guatemala and still enjoys driving out to the most remote corners exploring his Country, never getting lost!
With an enthusiasm for the arts, Marcie has an Associates degree in Musical Theater from Western Wyoming Community College and is earning her Bachelors degree in Animation, Film, and Motion Design from Colorado Mesa University. Along with working on and improving data with her team members at Kaart, Marcie also coordinates the Grand Junction Film Festival. She enjoys the work she does both in film and on maps and hopes the two worlds will always have a presence in her life.
Colorado born and raised, Cameron has a degree in land and energy management with minors in GIS and business. Cameron has experience on projects with the Bureau of Land Management and other environmental firms, conducting right of way title surveys along with compliance inspections. With Kaart Cameron has thoroughly mapped multiple countries and traveled to South America. In the summer months you can find Cameron in the mountains or on the rivers paddling canoes and in the winter months Cameron is an avid skier enjoying everything western Colorado and the surrounding states have to offer.
Ian is a Colorado native. Being an Eagle Scout, he loves exploring the great outdoors. He enjoys hiking and mountain biking with his family. He spent 2 years traveling in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and is fluent in German and just about any dialect of German. He has a bad habit of getting lost just so he can learn his surroundings better and loves making maps as detailed as possible.
Born and raised in Colorado, Joslin enjoys rock climbing, sunshine and her pupper Kona. She is a current Junior at Colorado Mesa University and has found a true passion in mapping around the world. She also just really likes staring at maps.
Born and raised in Arkansas and moved to Colorado for college. Zack is a Computer Science student at Colorado Mesa University honing his skills with Kaart. Zack works on many projects ranging from full-stack web development to building in-house programs to modifying iOS applications. When isn't reading the matrix, he loves doing anything outside with his pups. Road trips are his jam. Hitting the road only with a destination and the goal of discovering everything along the way is his favorite way to explore. He has also ridden his bike from Colorado to California.
Jon is a Western Slope native whose career has run the gamut from playing the Quizno’s mascot at NHL/NBA games to closing multi-million dollar telecom projects. After earning his BSBA in Statistics from the University of Denver, he fell in love with startups and spent the next decade in sales and project management for electrical, telecom, and market research firms in Denver and Los Angeles. He loves hiking, reading, and all things concert. Kaart combines Jon’s love of maps with his favorite people, and the result is ridiculous fun making awesome data.
Corban is a fourth generation Coloradan and an avid outdoor enthusiast. He loves hiking, fishing, rock climbing and hunting among other outdoor activities. Born and raised in Colorado, he is a farmer by trade and has worked as a carpenter, oil worker and has owned several businesses which eventually led him to join the KAART team for his next adventure. He is always trying to grow by learning new things and is slowly helping to change the world one map at a time. "Adventure is out there!"
Daniel, was born in Vernal Utah, but raised moving across the Western United States. An avid traveler he also lived for 2 years in the Republic of Kiribati, and is fluent in their native language. Also an avid climber and biker, he loves living in beautiful Western Colorado. Daniel's favorite aspect of traveling is finding new and exotic sea foods!
